World Of Solitaire offers free Web-based solitaire games at worldofsolitaire.com. Games are played within the Web browser, requiring no downloads or special software.
The site was launched in August of 2007 by Robert Schultz. (E-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org). Schultz keeps a blog with news about the site at http://worldofsolitaire.blogspot.com/.
Over 50 solitaire variations are offered, including Klondike Turn 1 or Klondike Turn 3 (the most popular game on the site), Spider, FreeCell, Russian Solitaire, Pyramid, etc. Each game has a video tutorial to teach how the game is played.
Players can register and log in to have their games tracked and have game preferences saved, or they can play with no login. Registered players have the opportunity to be ranked on various leaderboards tracking games won, fastest wins, etc.
Over a dozen card deck designs are offered, along with a variety of screen backgrounds (and the ability to create your own background), to allow players to customize the game.
